Hi, I’m Jorge, and I want to share the real reason I started Buying Hero.

A few years ago, my mom became bedridden, and our family found ourselves in a heartbreaking situation. The home we had lived in for over 30 years – the house I grew up in – was simply no longer affordable. Letting it go was one of the hardest things we’ve ever done.

But what stood out during that painful time was the kindness of the person who bought our home. He didn’t just offer us a fair deal—he gave us time. He let my mom stay in the house for almost a year while permits were being worked out. That grace gave our family space to breathe, regroup, and move forward without panic.

That experience changed how I see real estate forever.

I realized selling a home, especially during a crisis, isn’t just a transaction. It’s personal. It’s emotional. It’s a turning point. And the way someone treats you in that moment matters.

So when my partner and I created Buying Hero, we knew we had to do things differently.

We’re not realtors. We’re not a giant company. We’re two local buyers who believe in making this process easier, kinder, and more human.
